The purpose of this research is to determine:

• The number of consumer technology (CT) products in U.S. households regardless of use and location
• The importance and awareness of recycling among consumers
• How consumers are discarding of their devices, whether it be giving them away, donating them, recycling them or throwing them away
• What motivates a consumer to dispose of a device
• How secondhand CT are distributed
