Development and Deployment of 5G Network

This report reviews the development and deployment opportunities, issues and challenges associated with transitioning from 4G LTE to 5G. Specific objectives include understanding:

• Technology, standardization, policy and market initiatives
• Industry roadmap
• Industry challenges
• Promising short-term and long-term use cases for 5G network

In this study, in-depth interviews were conducted among key market participants in the US-telecommunications carriers as well as equipment and infrastructure vendor fields to understand the development and deployment prospects of 5G in the United States and around the world.
