This specification defines the encoding and packaging of segmented media in adaptive multimedia presentations conforming to the MPEG Common Media Application Format such that ISO MPEG Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) and IETF HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) versions of those multimedia presentations are fully interoperable.
